This week’s B ME Bites Trivia Question:

Multitasking helps conserve energy and makes you more productive throughout the day - True or False?

Answer at the bottom of this week’s newsletter

Welcome to edition #60 of B ME Bites! This week is about becoming more aware of the invisible forces behind how you feel. The conversations, choices, and habits that energise—or deplete—you. It’s time for an energy audit, and it starts with one simple question: Is this fueling you, or draining you?

The Energy Audit – What’s Fueling You (or Draining You)?

Small check-ins that protect your energy and peace

A simple daily check-in can help you spot what’s lifting you up—or running you down—so you can protect your energy and feel more balanced.

It’s not always the big things that leave you exhausted. Sometimes it’s the small ones—left unchecked, repeated daily—that slowly wear you down.

A conversation that feels heavier than usual. A task that keeps rolling to the next day. A habit that helps… until it doesn’t.

This is where an energy audit comes in.

A quick check-in, like:

  • How do I feel after that?

  • Did this give me energy, or take it away?

  • What’s been quietly draining me lately?

  • Where do I feel most supported or lit up?

The point isn’t to fix everything. It’s to notice. When you spot what’s running you down—or what’s filling your cup—you can make one small shift that protects your peace. And that one shift often starts a ripple effect.

🌀 What Might Drain You:

  • Overcommitment

  • Screens before bed

  • People-pleasing

  • Skipping meals or movement

  • Noise, clutter, or constant decision-making

⚡ What Might Fuel You:

  • A nourishing meal

  • Laughing with a friend

  • Silence (even for 3 minutes)

  • Moving your body

  • Creating something—anything

This isn’t about cutting everything out. It’s about cutting through the noise and tuning back into what helps you feel more like you.

What’s one thing you could shift this week to protect your energy—and feel just a little bit more like you?

🌱 Weekly Challenge: Check in, Then Choose

Your mission for this week, if you choose to accept it, is to do the following:

Each day this week, pause at least once and ask:

“Did that fuel me or drain me?”

Write it down, voice note it, or just notice it in the moment.
Then make one small adjustment—move toward what fuels, away from what drains.
No pressure to overhaul anything. Just one shift a day. That’s it.

If you need some help, feel free to hit reply - let’s help you get started if you’re stuck!

B ME Bites is deliberately sent on a Friday morning (Aussie time) so that where ever you are in the world, you have the weekend to give yourself the gift of implementing a small change towards a better you. The answer to this week’s trivia question is:

Answer: False

Multitasking may feel productive, but it actually drains more mental energy. Switching between tasks increases cognitive load, reduces efficiency, and can lead to faster mental fatigue. Research from Stanford University shows that frequent multitaskers are more easily distracted and less effective at filtering information, which ultimately zaps energy rather than preserving it.
